I think EVERYONE does that! I see something cool somewhere, and I think,
"How hard would it be to do that...?" The worst part is when you find
something that IS real (like a building here in Providence, RI, with a
weirdly-lit blue top) and it looks like bad CGI, so if you did try to do
it, everyone would say "Why did you do THAT!?"
Another example is a friend of mine who modeled a blimp. A number of
people (and almost me, too) told him that he forgot to turn Smoothing on
on the blimp. They appologized after he pointed out that blimps are
SUPPOSED to look faceted.
Oh well... off to more Waving...
